Contemporary would be neat, just because it hasn't been done in one of the collections yet. (I think?) I like the idea of Victorian as well! Or perhaps something closer to Bible times, BC or early AD...
Wow. All of those sound so awesome. :D I'd be happy with any of those, really. (Revolutionary War sounds especially intriguing though). I did have an idea for a Snow White retelling set in modern day... but with a Renaissance princess. My contest entry was set exactly 300 years in the future.

DeleteVictorian is a favorite of mine, modern would be cool, and I am a sucker for the 1920's but I feel that biased because mine is set in the 1920's
